Lakewood Church's children's ministry serves as a place for your children to feel at home in a safe and encouraging environment. Kids learn about Jesus through the scriptures in a fun way that fits their age and encourages spiritual growth.
We offer a nursery for 6 weeks to 3 years old on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
Our children's ministry has many exciting events throughout the year including Vacation Bible School, Jerusalem Marketplace, Trunk or Treat, and more!
Over the course of the school year, we have Wednesday night fellowship. Everyone is invited for dinner at 6pm in the CAC Gym.
From there, our kids are escorted upstairs by our Director of Family Ministries, Bethany Coleman, as well as a few volunteers. While upstairs, your children will go through choir rehearsal, games, and a Bible story with a focus on the application to their lives. Our volunteers go above and beyond to ensure your kids learn about God, have fun, and feel loved.
Pick up is typically upstairs in the Education Building at 7:30pm.
9:00am Breakfast
Your family is invited to join us for breakfast every Sunday at 9am in the Fellowship Hall. We serve a variety that typically includes pancakes, biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, and more!
9:45am Sunday School
Once you drop off your kids upstairs, they will have assembly where they will share prayer requests and have a time of worship. From there, they are split by grade level to go to Sunday School. In Sunday School, you can expect your child to learn about God through the scriptures along with a game and/or craft each week. At about 10:45am, our Director of Family Ministries, Bethany Coleman, as well as a few volunteers, will walk the kids to the Sanctuary for worship.
11am Worship
If your kids attend Sunday School, typically they will be sitting in one of the first few rows with Mrs. Bethany. You're also welcome to get them from Mrs. Bethany in the sanctuary so that they can sit with you or if you need to leave following Sunday School. After the worship/music section of the service, our children are invited to the stage where we have a children's lesson for ages 4 years-6th grade. From there, our kids that are 4 years-2nd grade are invited to go to children's church in the Chapel. 3rd graders and up are encouraged to sit with their parents for the remainder of worship.
